Welcome to the Battle Zone, Laser Combat What is Laser Combat?
The site is situated off the old Roman Road, on Woldgate,
Bridlington. It is set in 30 acres of tranquil, lush, natural woodland with all
essential amenities at hand.
We have numerous scenarios to play, so whether you are a complete novice or
a professional player it will be a fun day for all!
Laser combat is effectively painless paintball, it takes most of the best parts of paintball and combines them with modern computer technology, to make a new adrenaline sport. Laser combat uses painless beams of Infra-red light, similar to a DVD remote, to activate sensors worn on your enemies cap. When hit you are alerted by sound effects. We play games tailered to individual parties, from capture the flag and "objective-based" games, to complete annhialation and last man standing.
Players are all equipped with state of the art light gun, and a cap with sensors attached, and camoflage overalls. After an initial briefing we will play games tailored to your party.
How it differs from Paintball...
AS there is no physical ammunition flying about, Laser combat players do not need to wear a mask or any other obstructiong armour, you are much more aware of your surroundings and can see and hear a lot more than paintball players.
It is impossible to "wipe" the shots after you are hit as they are recorded electronically. When you are "dead" your gun is deactivated and you will need to have your gun re-activated by a marshal.
Laser guns are accurate at a much longer range than paintball markers, roughly 400feet, and are not affected by the weather
There is no charge for extra ammo, you simply pay for your time and reload using a button on the gun.
If this all sounds a bit tame and you want somethign a bit more extreme, maybe Paintball is the sport for you?
